Sweet Home Alabama

Don’t let the title fool you.  Alabama is neither sweet nor home, it just happens to be the song I'm listening to.  Today’s Pandora Radio lists are very cool, indeed.  It went from Lynard Skynard to Collective Soul.  Kind of strange mix but I’m diggin’ it.

Yesterday was, obviously, Friday and I survived it.  Going to work has been really hard.   It’s been harder, really, but I think I’m getting a little burnt out.  Same questions, same arguments, same ignorant people who want me to dumb down 8th grade English for them.  You know, I do have an unfair advantage to people calling in.  I work with our policies every day but even when I first saw it, I could read and comprehend what the policy stated.

FYI: I work for a travel insurance company.

It just pisses me off when people call me and ask me a question and then want to argue with me about what it says.  Or you get someone like I got yesterday….she couldn’t understand what PER PERSON MAXIMUM meant.  I bet I spent 20 minutes going over it and over it.  Finally, it clicked, the light bulb lit up and she FINALLY understood that when I say per person maximum, that’s what it means.

I had a couple of people like that yesterday.

Anyway, today is nice.  It’s probably 70 degrees and I got a chance to do some laundry.  I admit.  I’m a bit of a nerd…I want to try to save energy and money, so I bought a manually powered washing machine called the WonderWash.  it works really well.  I’ve done a few dozen loads in it.  I have a hand wringer attached to my table and we hang our clothes to dry.

Nifty.

Time to make some pork tacos.  You know you want some.
